Primodora: Resort and Events Welcome Pavilion and Villas
Commercial
After the success of the Phase One development, Primodora Resorts and Events was able to follow through the initial development paving the way for the welcome pavilion and villas and expanding their range of accommodation.
Phase Two of the development fronts the welcome pavilion which receives the visitors of the place. The rectangular form of the structure uses concrete as its main building and finishing material. Texture in form and material was done to create a contrast to its longitudinal form. From the facade, textured concrete was achieved by carefully scratching the surface of the wall to form vertical lines which are characteristic and visible in the whole development. The rear of the building was covered using concrete blocks which is still of the same material but packaged in a different shape. This lets air inside the whole structure and the development. A Pyramid-shaped roofing was placed on top of the structure to act as a light well which shall allow natural light inside the structure. This pyramid signifies the entry point to the phase one development.
Proceeding from the welcome pavilion, six villas will serve as a visual corridor enveloping a private pool that correlates to the initial development of Primodora. The villas were planned with a sense of privacy but not secluded from the common areas. KJHP Design Group is able to deliver this by providing a porch that acts as a transition space to the pool deck and draw the separation of the general public space and the private villas.
Material ingenuity is not only based on what its initial form is but also on how it is executed on-site to provide the intended outcome; this is what KJHP Design Group puts a premium on.
